Approvals & Certifications
Leaf is a fully licensed and certified airline, with an air operator certificate issued by TM-CAD from Malta. Malta is a member of the European Union and EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency).
EASA is an agency of the European Union with regulatory and executive tasks in the field of civil aviation safety.
Leaf is fully authorized to operate globally and conducts daily flights worldwide. Every day, a Leaf aircraft departs or lands at destinations across the globe. Our current certifications include:
• Worldwide transportation of passengers or cargo;
• Transportation of Dangerous Goods;
• All ICAO Air Navigation Regions;
• Low Visibility Operations- Up to Cat 3 No DH RVR 75m;
• ETOPS 180 minutes for the twin engine aircraft;
• Fully Compliant: RVSM, MNPS, PRNAV, BRNAV, RNP10, RNP4, ADS-B, FANS.

Kátia Vidal became Hi Fly’s Flight Support Manager in 2011. She is an Aerospace Engineer graduated from the Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) in Lisbon and has over 20 years of experience in different aviation environments.
Leaf’s management team is composed of highly experienced and qualified professionals with a proven track record in the aviation industry.
The team includes senior airline executives with over 25 years of success in air transportation, supported by middle management professionals with more than a decade of industry experience.
With deep knowledge of the aviation regulatory framework and strong operational expertise, Leaf’s leadership ensures the highest standards of quality, safety, and technical compliance across all operations.

Founded in 2019, Leaf was established with a bold vision: to bring innovation and excellence to the ACMI, wet lease, and air cargo sectors.
Since its inception, the company has focused on delivering efficient, reliable, and forward-thinking aviation solutions to the global market.
In April 2025, Leaf reached a key milestone by securing its Air Operator Certificate (AOC), marking the official launch of its flight operations. The company introduced its first two aircraft—Airbus A340s registered 9H-SUN and 9H-TQZ.
Leaf’s inaugural flight departed from Beja, Portugal, bound for Amsterdam, symbolizing the start of a new chapter in widebody Wet Lease and charter services. With a strong foundation and a clear mission to reshape the industry, Leaf continues to grow as a trusted partner in global aviation.
